Edit: As of now, There are well over 200k views of this conversation, primarily on Rumble, after being shared by Dr. Mercola.
This felt like one of our best discussions yet at Rounding the Earth. And after 30-something months of what has felt like a broken media firehose, it's great to finally see some scientists putting forth arguments from the domain of statistical genetics, testing the hypothesis of a lab-made SARS-CoV-2 virus.
It is noteworthy that YouTube demonetized our video just minutes into the livestream.
I would usually write more, but there is a lot drawing my attention, and this topic would take many hours to lay out in print in a way that would add to the conversation, so I'm just going to point you to the interview with Alex Washburne (co-author of the new paper in preprint) and Kevin McKernan (our recurring genomics expert guest).
I may update this post later with some addendums about online discussion taking place around this research.
Addendum 1: Sequence engineering cost.
